Any cpu cooler comparable to that size should work. If you’re only using two memory modules you can get away with the ultimate. My recommendation is the cryorig h5 universal. However the i7 9700k doesn’t need an expensive air cooler like the i9 9900k. Yes, you certainly can get to 4.6 Ghz with a Hyper 212 cooler …. Is the Hyper 212 EVO good for overclocking? Does the Cooler Master Hyper 212 come with AM4 bracket? Hoping not to be bashed by some of you guys for commenting on an old thread, I can just report that CoolerMaster is now stating that the Hyper 212 Evo and its newer derivative, the Hyper 212 Plus, does fit the LGA1151 Socket Set CPU.
